Here we have a Condo strip centered around a young baseball player called appropriately enough, Duke Murphy on the Diamond. Sadly, the strips I have to share are of varying quality; the captions, unfortunately, are a bit hard to read on some. That said, these are still fun to see. If it helps any, there seems to be a lot of punning going on in the narration in reference to the images; the approach reminds me a lot of what Tex Avery would later masterfully accomplish in his animated MGM film shorts like “Symphony In Slang.” We have several scenarios such as Duke on the railroad or at sea. Plus plenty of baseball fun.
