Here we have an idea that's perfectly suited to its medium; a concept that works so well I'm sure cartoonists must have slapped their collective heads back in 1909, declaring "why didn't I think of this?!" Dolby's Double concerns a gentleman, Dolby, who is plagued by a complete stranger who just happens to be his exact double. So like Dolby is this man, that he is able to pull the wool over the eyes of anyone familiar with Dolby, including Dolby's own wife! As you will see, this "Double" delights in taking advantage of his unique situation, while Dolby is left to account for his mischief. It's a great excuse, though, I know I'm going to try it next time I'm accused of wrongdoing - "It was my Double!"
